NATT’s  65 Year license renewal training is individually based. Training focuses on the participant’s  individual skills and helps them hone in on the changes in compliance.

This course provides participants a general understanding of the safe and efficient operation of a Low Lift Pallet Jack, to help companies comply with OHSA regulations.

Low Lift Pallet Jack certification will teach participants / employees how to identify specific health and safety hazards in the workplace associated with operating a Low Lift Pallet Jack.

Our instructors can conduct the training at your location in order to customize the course to your facilities environment and safety issues.

All training is done in full compliance of government standards including theory and practical training.

Delivery 2 Hour: Approx.

The concept of ‘Due Diligence’ is defined as “an operator must take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances to protect the safety and health of their workers, customers and the general public”. In-turn, the need for better standards of safety and health has been matched by an increasing requirement for documentation of commercial vehicle driver operations and activities.

Although Professional Drivers may be experienced, Pre Employment Road tests are recommended to ensure the potential candidate demonstrates the required skills and abilities to operate your equipment in a professional manner that your successful business demands.

The Road test will consist of a Pre Trip Inspection, including coupling / uncoupling procedures, followed by an evaluation of the client’s overall driving skills, observing areas specific to: road management, shifting, mirror usage and backing skills.

A “Record of Road test Form” will be completed with our recommendation to either ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ the driver. An explanation will be included in addition to recommendations for improvement.

Northern Academy provides 6 weeks of AZ Truck Driver Training.

Why 6 weeks when other schools only provide 5 week courses?

Surveys of employers have shown Northern Academy that a 5 week course is not enough. We have determined that a 6 week course is absolutely necessary to ensure that drivers are thoroughly trained to be safe on the road. Any less than 6 weeks results in drivers with less than satisfactory habits and generally poor backing skills. It is in Northern Academy’s best interests and the interests of the general public using our highways to ensure that our students receive maximum in-cab time. Our students actually spend 50 plus hours behind the wheel, not including pre-trip and post-trip inspection and backing time (calculated from On-Duty driving in the Logbooks completed daily). “Behind the wheel” hours are calculated from the on-duty driving which is accumulated on each driver’s daily log sheets.

Is it more expensive with a 6 week training course?

No. Our goal is to help people become qualified drivers at a fair price. Our price for a 6 week course is typically less expensive than a 5 week course with a competitor. We do this because we want you to become a professional driver. This extensive course uses a combination of classroom and practical in-cab training.
